    School of Residence:  Solana Beach District schools may be at or near capacity at the time of registration.  When this occurs, new students are assigned to another school within our district boundaries where space is available. SBSD makes every effort to place students at school of residence. However, due to the growth within the District in the last several years, this could occur.  The placement of each student will be handled according to Board Policy 5116.2. Students are placed at a school on a space available basis.
