They say that time flies when you're having fun!  It's hard to believe, but this will be my thirty-second year of teaching, and I still love it as much as I did when I first started out.  After a year teaching at Solana Vista, I helped open Solana Santa Fe, and I've enjoyed supporting the school and the district in a variety of grade levels and roles over the last thirty-one years.  I've taught grades 2, 3, 4, and 6 as a classroom teacher, K-6 as the Media Center Specialist, and provided trainings to teachers and administrators throughout California and the U.S. on a literacy grant with the district.  I've also had some private school experience, teaching grades 6-8 literature, logic, and rhetoric.  The majority of my experience has been with third and sixth grades.

 

      My husband and I have two very active teen-age boys that keep us hopping!  Their favorite activities are hiking, mountain-bike riding, skiing, boogie boarding, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and creating and playing music.  My husband and I also love sports, travel, and all things beach or lake related.

 

      I'm beyond excited to be teaching third grade!   I'm looking forward to a great year, and to partnering with you in your child's education.
