Dear Solana Santa Fe Families,
Next week, October 28th-November 1st, Solana Santa Fe will be celebrating National Red Ribbon Week. Our school, along with schools and organizations around the nation, will focus on the importance of children making good decisions, eating healthy, and being active. PTO has planned a variety of activities throughout the week to help our students join in Red Ribbon Week (see list below). Please encourage the students to get involved and participate.
Monday – Wear RED to show you are “RED”-y to be drug free. We will be kicking off with a healthy activity with the first day of Running Club. All students who run 2 laps will get a RED apple as a healthy treat from Jimbo’s.
Tuesday – Crazy Hair Day!
Wednesday – Assembly from the Drug Enforcement Agency at 8:30 am. Parents welcome!
Thursday – Say “Boo” to drugs and dress for Halloween! We will have a parade on the playground shortly after the morning bell.
Friday – Be active and participate in the Hoop It Up Assembly at 8:30 am on the playground.
We would like to thank Laura Amaya, our Red Ribbon Week Chairperson, for all her efforts to make next week a meaningful and memorable experience for our students. We also want to thank you, our parents and families, for supporting your child in their quest to make good choices, eat healthy, and to stay active, not just this week, but throughout their entire life!
