Hello! I'm Mrs. Russo (formerly Ms. Kvalstad!) and I can't wait to meet you! Here's a little bit of information about me. I grew up in San Luis Obispo, CA and after graduating from Cal Poly SLO sought some adventure so I moved to San Diego! My husband and I have a sweet almost-3 year old son, and an 9 year old rescue dog, Charlee. I LOVE to travel, whether it’s a weekend road trip or 2 weeks in Europe, go to Padres games, complete home DIY projects, and spend time with my family. This is my 20th year teaching, and 12th year teaching fourth graders in SBSD. I love being a teacher and and am so grateful to be able to do what I love everyday in Solana Beach School District!

- Ice Cream: Ben & Jerry's Phish Food, Chunky Monkey, or Mint Chocolate Cookie
- Animal: all furry creatures and dolphins
- Store: Target, Nordstrom, Amazon, Trader Joes
- Snack: Rx Bars, cucumber & Bitchin' Sauce, dark chocolate
- Book: Love picture books!!
- Color: Turquoise
- Plant: Succulents (they can survive when I forget to water or overwater!)
- Season: Fall
- Hobbies: hanging with my family, running, Netflix, traveling, discovering new restaurants, collecting picture books
- Clothing: scarves and comfy joggers!
