• Room 206 Birthday Policy

    birthday

Birthday celebrations are important. However, in an effort to acknowledge each student on his/her special day, as well as maintain instructional time and nutritional guidelines, I have decided on the following birthday policy:

    ·        Each student will be acknowledged on his or her birthday in class in the form of a song, card, or special treat.

    ·        I ask parents to refrain from sending birthday food items/treats to school for your child’s class.

    ·        Instead, we will have a class party with a whole class celebration with healthy snacks and games at the end of the year.

I think this is a great way to balance birthdays and instructional time.   In addition, this policy helps manage the nutritional needs of individuals with allergies and maintain better nutrition for all students.  If you would like to donate 30 birthday cards, pencils, erasers, or some other kind of non food item treat, please feel free to do so.

    Thank you for your support!
