• Skyline School, a 2018 California Distinguished School, is located on Lomas Santa Fe Drive in Solana Beach. It was originally built in phases between 1955 and 1961.  Proposition JJ passed in the fall of 2016, which allowed the school to be completely redesigned and rebuilt.

Skyline has an enrollment of 500 students with 20 instructional classrooms, in addition to a computer lab, a STREAM lab, an art room, music room, multi purpose room/theater and library/media center. The student profile is composed of 74% Caucasian, 20% Hispanic, 5% Asian, and 1% Other. Educational programs include a 4th – 6th grade program, a K-6 Global Education program, and a K-6 Special Education program.

Skyline has a strong educational program that emphasizes a positive and supportive learning environment with clear and consistent standards for behavior. The students at Skyline School demonstrate high academic achievement in their class work and on their standardized test scores. Skyline consistently ranks at or near the top in the county and state in standardized testing.  The high scores are due, in part, to parent involvement.

Parents support Skyline by volunteering, fundraising, and participating in school activities. They are actively involved in the decision-making processes by participating on the School Site Council, Parent Teacher Association (PTA), and Solana Beach Schools Foundation (SBSF). Skyline is a great place to attend elementary school!
