Welcome to Solana Highlands Elementary School, the home of the Dolphins!
Solana Highlands is a Kindergarten through Third Grade school in the Solana Beach School District. Our mission is to provide a dynamic learning environment where all students maximize their potential intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally.
Our combination of great facilities, supportive parents, unbelievable teachers, and enthusiastic students is a formula for success, and one that we are extremely proud of. Our P.T.A. (Parent Teacher Association) and Foundation for Learning provide substantial financial and volunteer support to our school, which includes specialized programs, technology, science, art, and physical education.

  • Charleston Wrap Logo with the words Better Products, Better Fundraising

THANK YOU for participating in our Charleston Wrap PTA Fundraiser, which is ongoing until September 28!  This is our major fundraiser of the year, and proceeds are used for our great PTA events, programs and classroom grants.  Please  turn in prize coupons to the box in as your child sells items.  When you are done selling, the top TWO copies of your completed order form, along with payment (checks to "Solana Highlands PTA") for sales from the catalog (non-internet) may be turned in to the folder/envelope at the front office or to your teacher (on/before 9/29).  Please keep the 3rd (pink) copy of the order form to fulfill your customers' orders.  Catalog orders and prizes earned from the poster (Levels A - L, not the little key chains, which will be distributed during the fundraising period) will arrive at the school in November.

  • The words Character Counts in blue and red block letters

As many of you know, Solana Highlands helps teach students to be good people by using the Character Counts, 6 pillars of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.  Every 4-6 weeks, Solana Highlands will focus on a pillar.  For the first month of school, we will focus first on what it means to have Character, and then focus on the 6 pillars.  This month, we are teaching students that a person of character:

    • Is a good person, someone to look up to and admire.
    • Knows the difference between right and wrong and always tries to do what is right.
    • Sets a good example for everyone.
    • Makes the world a better place.
    • Lives according to the Six Pillars of Character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and good citizenship.
