Gold Medal Reading
Congratulations to the student body who have already earned their Gold Medal for reaching Level 8 (reading 120 books or 2400 pages) in Gold Medal Reading. We want to see ALL of our students earn their Gold Medal! You can do it!
Our Author Assembly will take place on Monday, June 4th with author Bethany Barton. Barton is best known for "I'm trying to Love Spiders". Her other books include This Monster Needs a Haircut, This Monster Cannot Wait, and Give Bees A Chance. She will host a small-group Q & A with our students who have reached Level 32 ( 480 books or 9600 pages).
Keep on reading and logging those books!
Thursday, May 3rd
4:30 - 6:30p
Every year, our school organizes a Heritage Night to celebrate the global diversity that exists within our school community.
The purpose of this special event is two-fold:
• It encourages both students and their parents to share their culture, cuisine, traditional attire, traditions and customs with one another in a fun and engaging manner.
• It helps us to learn and have better understanding and appreciation of other cultures and traditions that could be very different that ours!
We look forward to learning about your heritage!
