    Hello Solana Highlands Families,

Stepping onto the Solana Highlands campus, one can sense the time, dedication, and care that has been poured into our beloved school over the years by students, staff, and families alike. This commitment to building relationships and community makes Solana Highlands a unique and dynamic place to learn and develop. I am excited to be a part of the team that will support its growth back into an in-person K-6 learning community.

The mission of Solana Highlands Elementary School is to provide a safe, nurturing, and dynamic learning environment where all students will maximize their potential intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally. Teachers and staff will engage students in relevant, rigorous learning experiences through effective instruction, assessment, and character education. Students will become critical thinkers and responsible, confident citizens prepared for a promising, rewarding, and fulfilling future.

As your principal, I am thrilled to be joining the Solana Highlands school community and look forward to a fantastic year! My 22 years in education have offered me a wide range of teaching and leadership experiences from kindergarten through seventh grade. As a leader, I believe in nurturing an atmosphere where children and adults feel a strong sense of safety and belonging, an environment in which we are each recognized for our unique strengths and gifts. It is an honor to serve in a district that supports student-centered teaching and learning.

We at Solana Highlands are fortunate to have an engaged parent community who dedicate their time and energy to volunteering, fundraising, and actively participating in school events and activities. Their involvement through the School Site Council, Parent Teacher Association (PTA), and Solana Beach Schools Foundation (SBSF) demonstrate their passion and commitment to supporting an outstanding educational experience for our students.

Welcome to your 2021-2022 school year!

    Warmly,

    Mrs. Lindsey Conley
