Welcome to Skyline School, a 2018 California Distinguished School! Our campus is located on Lomas Santa Fe Drive in Solana Beach. Originally built in phases between 1955 and 1961, our school has been completely redesigned and rebuilt thanks to the passage of Proposition JJ in the fall of 2016.
Skyline enrolls approximately 500 students and provides 20 instructional classrooms, in addition to a computer lab, a STREAM Lab, an art room, music room, multi-purpose room/theater and library/media center. Educational programs include a 4th – 6th grade program, a K-6 Global Education program, and a K-6 Special Education program. Our student profile is composed of 74% Caucasian, 20% Hispanic, 5% Asian, and 1% Other.
Skyline's rigorous educational program emphasizes a positive and supportive learning environment, with clear and consistent standards for behavior. The students at Skyline School demonstrate high academic achievement on both their classwork and their standardized test scores. Skyline consistently ranks at, or near, the top in the county and state in standardized testing. Our students' high scores are due, in part, to parent involvement.
Parents support Skyline by volunteering, fundraising, and participating in school activities. They are actively involved in the decision-making processes by participating on the School Site Council, Parent Teacher Association (PTA), and Solana Beach Schools Foundation (SBSF). Skyline is a great place to attend elementary school!
