Math League

  •

Join us on Thursday Mornings for Math League!
Math League runs on Thursday mornings from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

All Academic Clubs are currently on hold.  Please check back here in a few weeks for any updated information.

Math League is a parent run Academic Club!
Advanced math topics will be covered weekly, going beyond the Math curriculum taught in the typical elementary classroom.
In addition, students will participate and compete in three National Math Competitions!

    The Continental Mathematics League (CML):

    • The Continental Mathematics League, better known as the CML, consists of five, 30-minute competitive exams, related to Pythagorean.  We invite you to further your students’ progress in the art of problem-solving with this fun filled competition. *Please note the CML is considered one competition (not five).

The AMC 8 (through the Mathematical Association of America):

    • The AMC 8 is a 25-question, 40-minute, multiple choice exam aimed to improve the development of problem-solving skills. The AMC 8 lends the opportunity for students to develop confident attitudes towards analytical thinking and mathematics.

    Math Kangaroo

    • The Math Kangaroo is an International, 75-minute, multiple choice examination.  This exam aims to promote confidence and comprehension, encourages students to understand their personal mathematical knowledge, and how math is significant in every part of the world.  Students participating in the Math Kangaroo exam will receive a t-shirt and small gift.
