    SBSD School Board Policy:  2nd Grade Students: 20-30 minutes of homework per day Monday - Thursday.
     
     
     
    Every Monday check your child's homework folder for your child's assignment sheet.  Return all the homework on Friday. Spelling tests will be given on Friday.

    Weekly Homework:
    Read for 20 minutes every day, choose an activity from the monthly CAFE menu and record findings and experiences in your CAFE journal.  Be sure to add pictures or drawings to your journal entry to share with your classmates. 
     
     
    Weekly Spelling --There will be a spelling test every Friday.  For extra practice select a spelling activity from above to complete on lined paper.

    SITES FOR KIDS and PARENTS 
     
    The internet provides opportunities to gain information as well as provide entertainment.  Please teach your child to use the internet responsibly.  Never let your child surf the internet without adult supervision or without child safety software.  Even with safeguards in place, pop-up screens, advertisements, and some content may not be appropriate for children.  Also teach your child the difference between websites that are factual and those that are opinion.
