Week of September 22, 2019
Wednesday, September 25th @ 3:15 p.m. - Site Council Meeting
Friday, September 27th - Picture Day
Developing good habits is so important for our students. One of these habits is being on time to school ready to learn. So much goes into this and we greatly appreciate your support everyday! The district and our schools require students to be present for learning every day. We understand there are doctors’ appointments and sicknesses that are unavoidable. As a district we have defined our tardy and absence expectations based on Education Code as you read in the September 15th weekly update. Starting next week if your child has excessive tardies or absences, you will receive a letter from me outlining the expectations and next steps.
Did you know that the first Wednesday in October (Walktober!) is International Walk to School Day? This year the date is October 2nd. Students and parents will be walking (riding and rolling too) to school on that day enjoying all the benefits along the way. Every day can be Walk to School Day and we do hope you will be in the mix, especially on October 2nd and then again for another school community Walk & Roll Day ACTIVity on Tuesday, October 29th during Red Ribbon Week. It is a fun, healthy, connected, and smart way to get to/from school with benefits for the entire community. WE hope that YOU will join us!
