Hello! My name is Katie Skinner. I have been teaching in the Solana Beach School District since 2005. I have taught at Solana Highlands, Carmel Creek, and now Solana Ranch!  Every year my class is filled with brilliant and creative students!

    When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I have a wonderful husband, Starr, a sweet son, Cooper, and adorable daughter, Lucy. We enjoy traveling, visiting family and going to the beach. Starr and I have traveled to Costa Rica, the Marshall Islands, Australia, and Fiji, with many more destinations on our list. 

    I was lucky enough to discover a love of teaching early on in my life. I attended the University of San Diego with a clear goal in mind: To become the best teacher I can be. I have dedicated myself to my career to make learning fun and attainable to all children. They are our future and I am honored to be a part of it!
