I was born and raised in Solana Beach, California, and a proud alum of Solana Beach School District (SBSD).  After graduating from Torrey Pines High School, I attended Cal State San Marcos where I studied and earned a degree in Education. Additionally, I have a master's degree in Education.

    I have been working in SBSD since 2001, and feel very fortunate to work with such hard-working, dedicated people .  The first half of my career was spent teaching fifth and sixth grade, but now I’m enjoying the creative minds of second graders. 

    When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending quality time with my family.  I especially enjoy our outings to the Wild Animal Park and S.D. Zoo, as well as La Jolla Shores to snorkel, Disneyland, and The Stephen Birch Aquarium.  Of course, if time allows, a trip to visit family in Hawaii is always in the works.
