As a participant in the California School Improvement Program, Solana Ranch maintains a School Site Council (SSC). The SSC includes the following representation: Six (6) teachers and six (6) parents/community members and the principal. All members, (except the principal), serve two years. Members of the SSC are elected by their peers. (Parents elect parents/community members, teachers elect teachers, etc.).
The Solana Ranch School Site Council meets three to four times a year to conduct the following activities:

Participate in the development of an educational plan for the school.

Participate in the monitoring of the implementation of the school plan.
