I am very honored and excited to be the Assistant Principal to Solana Highlands and Skyline’s Global Program. I look forward to working with the students, staff, parents and community as we continue to pursue academic excellence.
My background as an educator includes twenty years of service, including being a TK-2nd grade classroom teacher, summer school principal, and Teacher on Special Assignment. Most recently, I have begun a Doctoral program in Educational Leadership at UCSD/CSUSM.
I have taught Transitional Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade. In addition, I earned National Board Certification as well. My academic preparation includes a B.A. in Psychology, an M.A. in Developmental Psychology, and an Administrative Credential from the San Diego County of Education.
As an educator, I am committed to the following core beliefs:
Student achievement AND student well-being are equally important.
Our schools are only as great as the people in it.
Each and every person and student on the campus is significant.
We pursue excellence (not perfection) every day.
We will never give up on your students.
I am looking forward to a wonderful 2017-2018 year together!
