ICOC Vacancies & Call for Applications

The Solana Beach School District (SBSD) has opened the application for volunteers to serve on the District’s Independent Citizens’ Oversight Committee (ICOC). The ICOC ensures bond proceeds are specifically and exclusively used to support school construction projects as authorized by Measure JJ, which was passed by local voters in November 2016. Committee members serve two-year terms and provide oversight of the District’s $105 million school bond construction program.
Current Vacancy:
- The District seeks one (1) representative who shall be active in a bona fide taxpayer’s organization.

- Senior Citizens' Organization (open May 2027)
- Business Organization (open May 2027)

Community members interested in applying to serve on SBSD’s ICOC can find more information and access the application at www.sbsd.net/ICOC. Applications are due as soon as possible, and candidates will be interviewed following their application. The SBSD Board of Education will consider ICOC member appointments at a following regularly scheduled Board meeting.
