Mandated Hearing and Vision Screenings
California law (Ed Code 49455), requires all students in Kindergarten, 2nd, and 5th grades as well as students upon first enrollment or entry in a district elementary school shall receive vision and hearing screenings performed by a Credentialed School Nurse or other authorized person during the school year. If there is an abnormal finding, parents/guardians will be notified. (AR 5141.3)
