Class T-shirts are here!  Each student at SV has received a class T-shirt.  Each class chose a word to represent the class for the 2019-2020 school year.  If the T-shirt finds its way to your home, please take good care of it as students will be encouraged to wear the shirt for special school events!

A little something to think about:

Why teach Digital Citizenship to our students?  Isn’t that for older kids?

It’s important to address the 21st century skill of digital citizenship, in which students connect, collaborate, and communicate responsibly and safely.  In addition, online activities/social media play a huge part in the social emotional well-being of children, teenagers, and adults.  Common Sense Media (https://www.commonsense.org/education/video) is a wonderful website with excellent information for parents about digital citizenship.  In addition, take a look at this article: Why is Digital Citizenship Important…Even for Youngest Kids at http://worcestertlc.weebly.com/digital-citizenship1.html.

    Sincerely,

    Katie Zimmer
