• Mrs. Ryder's Message

    Dear Carmel Creek Families,

    PTO Restaurant Night

What a success our first PTO restaurant night was last week.  Super fun to see many families in attendance and our teachers, Mrs. Farnsworth, Mrs. Sutton and Mrs. Skinner.  We are looking forward to our next family dinner night out.  Thanks to our local Soup Plantation for supporting our school.

    PTO Annual Fall Carnival

This Friday is our annual PTO fall carnival free event.  Following the Carnival is a movie night.  Our third-grade students made wonderful posters and have been encouraging participation throughout school.  Costumes are welcome.  Food trucks will be on site for families to purchase dinner or snacks.  Beverages will be sold by PTO parents.

    Red Ribbon Week

Next week is Red Ribbon Week. A calendar of events can be found in today’s Wednesday envelope.  Students will participate in different activities to support the theme: “Healthy Me, Way to Be.” Thank you to our local law enforcement, fire fighters and US Marshal who will be on campus for the children to experience time with our first responders and their transportation vehicles up close and personal. We are proud of our two students who will be accepting the Red Ribbon Proclamation at Town Hall this evening. Congratulations to Addie from Mrs. Hastings class and Luke from Mrs. Shaffer’s class.

Don't miss our 2nd annual district-wide STREAM Fest on Saturday, November 2nd on the grounds of Solana Pacific Elementary. The festival will run from 10 AM to 2 PM and features interactive science stations, exhibitions, robotics, coding, engineering challenges, food trucks, and so much more! This year, STREAM Fest features a Sensory Tent, giving children a chance to take a break from all of the noise and stimulation, and relax in a quieter atmosphere featuring a calming water station, sensory toys, and movement breaks! Scan the QR code, located on the hard copy flyer in your Wednesday envelope, for more details!

There are a several volunteer opportunities remaining for our exciting events next week.  Volunteer QR codes are found on the “Sweet Treat” and “Fall Festival” flyers that were sent home.

Looking forward to an exciting week ahead!

    Lisa Ryder
