• Welcome to Technology Discovery Lab!

Carmel Creek students visit the Technology Lab once a week to learn computer basics, how to research effectively, internet safety, and create projects using many different applications!  Each year in December, students participate in the "Hour of Code," a kick-off to our Coding Unit.  Digital Citizenship is taught using Common Sense Media curriculum, as an ongoing program throughout the year.  Lego We Do's are a favorite activity for 2nd and 3rd grade students, while the younger grade levels use Bee Bots and Pro Bots as part of our robotics program.

It is the goal of the SBSD and Carmel Creek Elementary School to ensure that each and every student has access to technology in order to enhance their learning experience and prepare them for the future.  Students are exposed to programs such as Keynote, Pages, Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Excel, Kid Pix, Dance Mat Typing, and much more!  Parents are welcome to volunteer during their child's class time!
