Pop Culture and the Noise it Creates with Chief Paul LeBaron
April 11, 2022 from 6:00-7:30pm (zoom link in fliers below)
Our kids live in a world different than anything we have experienced. Consider that anybody born after August 6, 1991, does not know life without the Internet. When we talk to our kids, we hope the message gets through. The “internal noise” (movies, video games, internet, music, television, texting, sexting, emojis, online challenges) that comes from pop culture is a major deterrent. The objective of this presentation is to learn to improve communication between adults and kids by identifying the “noise” that is generated from popular culture that makes such communication difficult. You will learn that it is not enough to know WHAT your kids are listening to ... you must know ABOUT the things your kids are listening to. Don’t miss out on this important presentation!
