Books and Beyond is a recreational reading program for students that will begin in October.
In order to participate, students read books and record the titles/pages. The purpose of the program is TO ESTABLISH THE GOOD HABIT OF READING!
Any books that students read or are read to them, at home or at school, can be counted.
Since this is a “Read-a-thon”, students may not count books read before the beginning date. The Books and Beyond program ends in May. We will let the students and parents know when the last day is to turn in blue or yellow sheets. Only two levels will be accepted the last week.
Students travel through 8 stations/levels as they turn in blue or yellow sheets with the book titles they have read. When a child reaches the 8th level, a gold medal will be awarded at a special ceremony at the end of the year.
