Welcome to fourth grade! I am looking forward to a terrific school year with you. Communication between home and school is very important. My email and voice mail are checked before and after school daily.
Our fourth grade team has been busy planning and getting ready for the new school year. This year we will continue to extend our math skills and problem solving abilities. We will also read a lot!! In science we will study ecosystems, magnets and electricity, rocks and minerals and erosion. In social studies we will study California history beginning with Native Americans and moving along to the Gold Rush days.
On September 6, I will share with you details regarding curriculum, classroom expectations, homework and volunteer schedules. If you are unable to attend Back to School Night, please contact me and I will make arrangements to meet with you another time.
I am so excited to be your child’s teacher. I am confident we will have an excellent year together.
