Pick-Up & Drop-Off Procedures
  • SAFETY FIRST! Be cautious and courteous! The parking lot can be congested and we ask you for your patience when dropping off or picking up your child.

  • Drop off students in the south parking lot. Lanes are marked and volunteers will assist you. Pull all the way forward before letting your child get out of the car.

  • After school, pull forward to pick up your child. Remain in the traffic lane and exit the lot as directed. Don’t pull around other cars. If street parking is available, you may pick up your child on Townsgate Drive in front of the school. This is possible only when parking spots are available.

  • Don’t park in Pell Place to wait for your child. This is residential property and is congested and we want to remain good neighbors!

  • Afternoons are more congested, waiting until 3:00 pm may actually save you time!

  • Parking lot next to the office is not available for drop-off or pick-up.

 
Please drive with extreme caution.

The following problems have been occurring during drop-off and pick-up of students and constitute a serious safety problem for the children:

  • Jaywalking - Unfortunately, parents are jaywalking their children through the traffic in the mornings. Please do not jaywalk - it teaches your children a very dangerous habit!

  • Please do not U-Turn before or after dropping your children off in the drop-off zone. This creates a traffic hazard, is illegal, and is an accident waiting to happen.

  • Please obey the speed limits in the school zone - children think that all parents are aware of their presence and looking out for them and this is not always the case.
