SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL


As a participant in the California School Improvement Program (SIP), Skyline maintains a School Site Council (SSC). The SSC includes the following representation: Four (4) teachers, one (1) non-teaching employee, six (6) parents/community members and the principal. All members, (except the principal), have two-year terms on the Council. Members of the SSC are elected by their peers (parents elect parents/community members, teachers elect teachers, etc.)

The Skyline School Site Council meets four times a year to conduct the following activities:

  • Participate in the development of an educational plan for the school.
  • Participate in the development of a budget to implement the school plan.
  • Participate in the monitoring of the implementation of the school plan.
