Publications, Images of Students, Video, Internet Consent and Release Agreement


Students who attend schools in the Solana Beach School District participate in activities that may occasionally be used for school and/or District publicity, publications, or public relations. A student's name, picture, art, written work, voice, verbal statements or portraits (video or still) may be used by the student’s school for “in-house” purposes. For example, pictures and articles about school activities may appear in class newsletters, class videos, in-house broadcasting or district presentations. No access to District publications, newspapers, school publicity, or the Internet will be given to outside agencies or media without permission.

For your student to participate in activities other than those listed above, the District staff requires that you read, sign, and return this form to the school office. Permission can be rescinded at any time with written notice.

Note: District policy prohibits the posting of student photos on the Internet.

Parents/Guardians may give permission to allow their student to participate in the following:
External Use  


Approval for the student’s name, picture, art, written work, voice, verbal statements or portraits (video or still) to appear in school publicity or District publications. For example, pictures and articles about school activities may appear in newsletters, videos, local newspapers, local television coverage, OR District presentations or publications. These pictures and articles may or may not personally identify the student. Photos of students will NOT appear on the Internet, however, examples of student work with student’s first name only may appear on the Internet.

The District may use the student’s name, pictures, art, written work, voice, verbal statements or portraits (video or still) in subsequent years. No monetary consideration shall be paid.
