The Department of Human Resources supports the District’s mission through activities in all aspects of employee relations including recruitment, hiring, staffing and retaining the best possible employees for the District. The Department maintains the highest commitment to quality in support of employee evaluation, contract management and negotiations while maintaining all personnel records and credentials.

We are committed to maintaining employee accountability through a quality employee evaluation system. The Department represents the District in contract negotiations and contract management. We maintain all personnel records and monitor credentials. We provide new employee training and monitor new employee performance related to selection for tenure or permanent status, assuring that all employees meet State and Federal requirements for Highly Qualified status.

Additionally, as the Uniform Complaint Office, the Human Resources department serves as the primary contact point for questions or complaints regarding violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or any claims of discrimination.

Solana Beach School District belongs to the Encinitas Substitute Consortium, which serves five districts in North County - Del Mar, Encinitas, Cardiff, Rancho Santa Fe and Solana Beach.

Arrangements to substitute in the Solana Beach School District and these surrounding districts are made through the Encinitas Substitute Consortium.
